UPDATE on Vincent Cordova

Good afternoon brothers and sisters! Our dear brother Vince is recovering everyday little by little.Through the amazing work of Our Father, God continues to heal Vincent's body. Vince's faith has carried him through the struggles of everyday but he knows without a doubt that Our God is victorious and will shine through Vincent and continue to heal his body. Vince is so grateful for everyone's words of encouragement, prayers and thoughts. He knows that he has a support group of amazing people and it gives him motivation to keep going every day! Any posts, letters, cards or emails are read to him or he reads them himself. This is the part of the day that warms his heart and puts a smile on his face. Please continue to pray for our Brother Vincent and for a fast recovery.  God Bless everyone and thank you again. From Vincent, Sammie and his parents. We love you all!

  2. FF Vince Cardova, Family, Sammie, & FF Siblings:
I am a full LOD Disabled Philadelphia Fire Paramedic Lt. due to Hep. C contracted on the job. Unfortunately, I am only able to offer my heartfelt thoughts & prayer to you, however, I know from my own jouney, that there is nothing more healing, if you believe.
I have failed 3 rounds of treatment that often left me asking the Lord to take me, rather than allow me to live as I was. Obviously, the prayers of others were heard louder than mine. While I still have the disease, 9 years after my last treatment failed & 12 yrs. after dx, my liver is functioning FINE! Though I have been left with SEVERE joint pain related to the HCV, I feel so blessed!!!
It sounds as though the many prayers are being answered for you, as well! Praise God! Continue to praise him with faith the size of a mustard seed & he will continue to guide the hands & knowledge of your caregivers to help you to heal beyond what anyone dreamt possible!
Vince, remember that first fire that you rolled up on, with fire rolling out of every window & that split second feelin of "no way can I do this!" Then the next thing you know, FUC & you're mopping up! YOU CAN DO THIS! Just like that fire, yeah, you are going to need help, but the strength has to come from within! Keep doing what you are & those around you will keep doing whatever we can! Though we have never met, it doesn't matter. You are a Brother & I know if roles were reversed, you would send me words of hope, encouragement & support as well, that is what we do.
    BE BLESSED & KEEP FIGHTING!!!
